Easy Chicken Mayo Salad Recipie

No. I do not enjoy cooking. Cooking is the last thing I wanna do. I absolutely hate to cook. Not that I can't cook, I just hate it, that's all. But obviously I cook and I'm pretty good at it (without any training #ProudMoment)

Chicken Mayo Salad is my absolute favorite (and the easiest) appetizer / snack to make. Its so full of flavors yet healthy. There are a ton of ways you can serve Chicken Mayo Salad. To know more, keep reading :)

CHICKEN MAYO SALAD
Serving - 4

Ingredients -

  1. Chicken Breast - 1 Whole
  2. Aromatics - Bay Leaves 2, Pepper corns 6-7 and Cinnamon Stick - half inch
  3. Green Onion (with bulb) - 1 big
  4. Carrot - 1
  5. Tomato - 1 Medium
  6. Green Bell Pepper - 1
  7. Red Bell Pepper - 1
  8. Yellow Bell Pepper - 1
  9. Cilantro - 1/2 Cup
  10. Mint Leaves - 1/4 Cup
  11. Mayonnaise - 1/5 Cup
  12. Chilli Mayonnaise - 1/2 Cup
  13. Salt & Pepper

Method -

  • Cut your chicken in 4-6 parts so it cooks quicker.
  • In a sauce pan bring water to a boil and add all the aromatics.
  • Then drop the chicken in boiling water, cover and cook for 15-20 mins or till chicken is tender.

  • While the chicken cooks, cut all your vegetables and herbs finely. I like to add colorful veggies, it makes your salad look more approachable.
  • I chose 2 kinds of Mayonnaise because I like it spicy. If you wish you can skip the chili mayo. Or if you don't have chili mayo then just add chili flakes later in the mixture.
  • Once your chicken is cooked let it cool, then shred it in a big bowl.
  • Add both the mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Mix it well.
  • Then add all the veggies and Mix again. Done!
There's a lot of ways to serve this salad. You can just serve it as a side dish or keep it as an appetizer with sliced Baguette on the side. It also makes a great filling for Sandwiches.

I decided to make it as Bruschetta. It was amazing!

For all you veg people, just use egg-less mayo instead and of-course no chicken.

Outfit of the Day - Casual and Chic for the Weekend in Kuwait

My very first fashion post :) I was getting ready to go out casually with my hubby and baby girl to the beach and then later for dinner over the weekend. So decided to wear something casual, chic yet comfy.

I know its Fall all over the world but Kuwait, being a dessert, is still getting there. Since couple days ago the weather has been very humid and hot. But this Friday it was windy and cool the temperature being 30 degree Celsius. So still there's time for the boots and coats to fill wardrobes.

I wore this very chic looking white lace top with little flower detailing on the chest area. Paired it with some comfy denim jeans folded twice to give a little edge.

Kept the Hijab very basic, Black satin Hijab with mini thread embroidery detailing on both the edges.

The best part about my outfit were the shoes! I love these floral Sandals from Bangkok. They've these black pollen bead detailing which I find so cute.

For jewelry I have my wedding ring and a gold 3 layered bracelet with butterflies and engraved pearls.

I carried this basic black Sling bag by Christian Sirano from Payless, Kuwait. I've attached my Custom Hand-made mini dream-catcher on it. You can get yours customized by Mamta, @Videsi_Creations on Instagram. She ships Internationally as well :)

Watch my YouTube video HERE for Makeup Details.

Outfit Details -

Jeans - Iconic, Kuwait
Lace top - Bangkok Street buy
Sandals - Bangkok Street buy
Bracelet - Mumbai (some random jewelry shop)
Hijab - Local Hijab Market, Kuwait
Sling Bag - Payless

Will be doing more Fashion related posts from now on.

LA Girl Glazed Lip Paint : Review and Swatches | Kuwait

Been a while since I've purchased these Lip Paints but haven't really gotten around to try each and every one of them. Last night I thought lets give it a go.

LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints
LA Girl Glazed lip paints come in total of 18 shades. They have an extremely Opaque and Glossy formulation. At first I thought they'll fade away in a while like most of the glosses do, but these dont even move a bit, unless of-course you eat or drink... or Kiss :) And yeah, they're cruelty free, wohoo!

These smell soooo amazing! All of them have a vanilla-mint fragrance. If you're someone who has a problem with fragrant products, this definitely isn't for you. Apart from being fragrant, these sting a teeny-tiny bit due to the minty flavor. But it really doesn't bother much, eventually the sensation fades away. I've read many beauty bloggers compare this with the Two Faced Melted Lipsticks.

Each tube contains 12ml / 0.04 Fl. Oz of product. The tube is pretty attractive looking with a gold cover and the tube itself being the same color as the respective shade of the lip tint. Personally I didn't like the tube squeezing method as  it can get messy if you get a lot. And once out, you cant of-course get it back in.

I really wish they could've done something else with the applicator as its very uncomfortable to spread and blend the shade on your lips. These work better with a lipliner if you want to reduce bleeding and feathering.

The trick I found working for me is to start with a really small amount of the gloss in the center of your lips and then spreading your way throughout the lips gradually adding little by little. Also I found that adjusting using a lip brush really helps.

Here's the Lip swatches for all the shades except one which I realized I lost on my trip to Indias. Anyway I've inserted the lip swatch from Senful Beauty just do you guys can see.

I got all my shades as a bundle from Juvia's Place for a sale price of 38$ for all. Normally they cost 43.25$. These are available in Kuwait as well at Makeup Al- Mansourfor KD2.5, but only 6 shades can be found.

I hope you guys enjoyed the blog-post and don't forget to checkout my YouTube channel for a live application of the shade 'Tempt' in my 'Fall Inspired : Plum Smokey Eye Makeup Tutorial' HERE.

Review : Makeup Forever Step1 Skin Equalizer Primers

If you've visited any MUFE counter recently, you definitely must have seen the above display. This is from VaVaVoom, Marina Mall, Kuwait.

So MUFE came out with this amazing range of Skin Equalizers (Primers and Correctors) this spring. MUFE Middle East was generous enough to send me to try out the primers. I wasn't able to review it back then as on the same day I received the package, I had to rush to the hospital to deliver my baby girl :)

The best thing about these primers is that there's one for every skin type.
.

I've been using these on my clients and myself since two months now and loving these so much. There's one for every skin type;  Mattifying, Smoothing, Hydrating and Nourishing Primers. I personally love the Smoothing and Mattifying for Oily skin. I like to combine the 1 & 2 and apply on a moisturized skin. It really evens out the skin texture and reduces the visibility of pores. I think I've found a match to my very dear Benefit Porefessional :)

I love to use the Hydrating primer on very dry skin clients. Due to its runny texture it really soaks into the skin making it smooth for foundation application. If you're someone with dry patches, try mixing the hydrating and nourishing primers together for a flawless result.

I Like that it has a nozzle-squeeze tube which enables you to control the amount of product for use.

The MUFE Skin Equalizers are available at any MUFE counters or outlets all over Kuwait. These retail for 12.5 KWD each and you get 30 ml of product.

Don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube Channel to see me put these in action.

Makeup on a Budget in Kuwait - Matte Lipsticks / Lip Paints

Image Courtesy- Carstina Blog - http://carstina.com/lime-crime-utopia-velvetine/
2014 was all about Matte Lipsticks and lipcreams. And the introduction of Matte Lipcreams / Lip Paints took it to a whole new level. Taking for example, the very hit Lime Crime Velvetines, NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams, Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet (Read Review HERE), etc.

All these range from not less than KD4 - KD18. Wouldn't you love if you found the same formulation for less? Yes! That's why lets dig in...

You can find Matte Lipcreams all over Kuwait in almost every local makeup shops. Their brand differes depending on their production place. I've tried and tested so many of these that I know which one is gonna be worth spending even a buck!

They're normally called as Long Lasting Lip Gloss or Lipsticks. They range from price KD1 - KD5 max and can be found in almost every local Makeup stores across Kuwait.

The trick to find out which is actually a good pick; swatch a little on the palms of your hand, look around the store for 5 mins, then check back on your swatch. If the swatch has completely or semi - dried out, you've found a good stuff. And if after 5 mins the swatch remains wet and same when you had applied it, its a bummer!

Here's how the shades look when applied -->
Video Tutorial for both these looks is available on my YouTube Channel --> HERE

Hope this post helped you guys and you enjoyed reading it. Lemme know what local brands you've tried and how has it worked for you :)
